A smile never goes up in price or down in value.
Smile at your neighbors!
It's that time of year again!!! Time to make your annual contribution to the HOA!!!
Heatherwood Estates Homeowners can now make dues contributions via credit card! Simply click on the "donate" button above and securely enter your credit card information and donation amount. Although we request a minumum amount of $65 as an annual contribution, a larger donation is greatly appreciated and will allow us to do more to beautify our neighborhood and provide fellowship activities in the future. By the same token, if $65 isn't possible for your family at this time, we kindly thank you for any donation you can make.
Thank you so much for your support!
If you prefer, you can still mail a check to Jennifer Webb, Treasurer, 3432 Whitney Way, Hurst, TX 76054.
For those residents who have already paid their dues...THANK YOU! Several of you have already used the Donate button - YOU ROCK!
Upcoming Projects:
Add weeding & flower bed (front entrance) maintenance to our lawn service contract
Removal of 4 remaining pear trees along Glade Rd.
Upgrade/repair/replace irrigation system for front entrance & parkway
Block Party in October
Brick Wall Project: Homeowners upon whose property the brick wall lies are getting bids, quotes, recommendations, and options on what needs to be done to fix or replace the brick wall. Although the wall is the fence of the individual homeowner and is their responsibility, most of our residents agree that it reflects on our neighborhood and affects all our property values. Many of you have volunteered to make contributions to get the wall fixed, and such generosity is fantastic! Unfortunately, there's not an easy fix and due diligence is required to ensure the best possible decision. Thank you for your patience while our affected homeowners gather all the options and related costs. This will be an ongoing project, requiring open communication and teamwork. We hope to address the cost of this project with funds from a future gas lease deal so we will all be able to help our fellow homeowners make a decision that benefits the entire neighborhood.

**Important Information about your Mineral Rights**
Summary of progress: We have communicated with 4 oil & gas companies about leasing our mineral rights. The Glade Road Neighborhood Alliance represents approximately 1400 homes in this immediate area, covering a little over 450 acres. (Heatherwood Estates, Versailles Parc, Wintergreen North, Winterhaven, Glade Pointe, Madison Place, Mill Creek West, Mill Creek, Mill Haven and Lonesome Dove Estates make up the majority of our alliance. click here for map) Until recently, all the available drill sites that could potentially service our area have been locked up in leases with one company. For months, we waited for that company to raise its initial offer of $3,000/mineral acre and 23% royalties to a level that was in line with current market value. In April, they offered us $10,000/mineral acre and 23% royalties. While that is a big jump and we appreciate their return to the negotiating table, the market average is now closer to $18K - $22K/mineral acre and no less than 25% royalties. After a large online survey of many of our members, the Glade Road Neighborhood Alliance decided to politely decline their offer again and wait a while longer.
Latest Information...
In late June, the Fort Worth Star Telegram contained an article outlining 6 new drill sites being acquired by a very large Barnett Shale player,
one of which will reach all of our homeowners. We have made contact with this company and it's leasing representatives and are looking forward
to working with them to reach a mineral rights lease benefitting everyone involved. Please attend the meeting outlined above for more
information and to provide input!
*If any company attempts to persuade you to sign away your mineral rights as an individual homeowner, please consider that our strength lies in our unity. You may contact us via the link at the left side of this page if you encounter such an attempt. We will be more than happy to advise you. Thank you so much for your support and consideration in this matter. Our sole purpose is to obtain the most attractive lease agreement for all homeowners in our area. Help us do so!
For more information on this matter, please click on the Mineral Leases tab at the left of this page.
If you know a neighbor that has more experience in life than in computer technology (i.e. seniors, disabled), please print this page and give it to them. We hope to keep everyone informed and can certainly use your help! Thank you!
